The Perfect Ball

The feel of the ball one of the most crucial aspects of Nine Iron Realms. Dialing in the shot power was a major challenge. Each one had to feel powerful, but also controlled. I spent hours tweaking power and bounces to make sure every shot was satisfying.

Designing a Challenge

The fun of Nine Iron Realms comes from its wide array of obstacles and challenges. I designed wind columns, canons, rail-grinds, spinners, and many more.

Developing for Non-Devs

Most of my team does not know how to program, so it’s my job to make sure they don’t have to. I made every obstacle with a custom tool so the level designs and artists can do their jobs without having to touch a single line of code.

Beautifying

Aesthetics are the key to creating a standout game. I made shaders for the grass, sky, and ice to make our game look unique.
